Hestaband

Humans have been using elastic training tape for years and inevitably it transferred to equestrian and canine sports. 

Using human grade tape on animals is difficult and kinesiology tapes had not changed much, until now. Hestaband’s kinesiology tapes were developed by Christa Veinotte, a Canadian RMT and equine rehabilitation specialist whose career began in 1999. As the first person in Canada trained to tape horses, she began investigating prototypes of tapes to improve the quality of her treatments. 

In 2020, Christa founded the company Hestaband. The adhesives are much stronger, and the fabric weaves are tighter. There are 3 tapes in the collection: Cotton, Satin, and Lymph to offer support in all phases of treatment plans tailored to high-performance athletes and rehabilitation clients. The tapes have been used by equestrians, veterinarians and therapists in over 30 countries and in 2024, Hestaband received the Exporter of the Year award.
