I’m Theresa Mueller, Holistic Equine Academy of Lymphedema, H.E.A.L Founder. My journey started back in the 1990’s when our horse, Captain Crunch, developed intermittent swelling from being stung by German wasps. The vet diagnosed him with acute lymphangitis and he said we don’t know why this happens. It just does. I didn’t know what the lymph system was or even understand his diagnosis! Several years later a career change led me to search for other opportunities different than my corporate experience. I chose the healing arts of massage. This is where I was exposed to the lymph system and began to understand what happened to the Captain. Although the Captain was gone for several years and I couldn’t help him, I knew I could help others.
